My Past Is Not Who I Am Today

The past is exactly what it says it is, the past. Sometimes we allow the past to have a hold on us. It keeps us from moving forward. It's like being stuck in an elevator, pressing every button hoping this time it will work but we are still stuck at the same level. It's always there to remind us of how bad we have allowed things to get.

Not this time though, after building a personal relationship with God, he told me I could do all things through Christ Jesus which strengthens me. He then said, I am fearful and wonderfully made. That’s when I began to believe in myself. Instead of fighting with the  generational patterns I suffered from in my past I started breaking them.

Everyday I wake up I know God has a purpose for me and he is not finished with me yet.  I know, those very messes I made in my past , he takes them and uses them for my good and then I am able to bless others. God forgives me so why don't I forgive myself. We all make mistakes  that's a part of life just continue to grow and glow.

​I love who I'm becoming and I know the best is yet to come.
