Thoughts from the Assistant Director -

Wow … a new year for A Motivating Love began in July with a bang!  

We have been busy meeting new sponsors, working with businesses on fundraiser nights and organizations that we will give back to over the next year.  

We met with Janet Bernstein, who is the founder of the Every Heart Project.  What a phenomenal woman. Janet is our speaker for our Always Mothers Luncheon on May 2, 2020. I cannot wait for her presentation.  Janet also shared her new book with us "The New Rules of the Sisterhood".  I highly recommend it.  It makes one stop, think about your own friends and the relationships you have with them.  It is great.  I finished mine in a week.  

We visited over the summer with Lance and Hannah with StreetSide Showers.  What a caring group. ​

 They provide weekly showers to the homeless, personal care kits, socks and under garments. Some of the things in life we take for granted, they provide. 

We visited with Beth at Hope's Door.  They provide help for domestic violence victims.  They have a wonderful program that not only helps the victim, but the abuser also. I was very impressed with the organization as a whole.  

We also visited the Samaritan Inn.  We got the grand tour.  What a nice set up and programs they have to help individuals and families that want to get back on their feet and off the street.  

Join us August 20th at the Legacy West Shake Shack location for our first restaurant fundraiser. We also are working with Raising Cane's, Chik Fil A, Firo’s Pizza and a few more on fundraiser nights.  Be sure to watch for details and come out to support us.  

This year we have implemented mini events throughout the year.  Our first mini event is scheduled for Saturday, September 21st … Rest in Peace: Snore No More.  It's about diagnosing sleep apnea and the affects it has you and your partner getting a restful restorative sleep.  

October 19th is our second mini event, The Sensual Woman ... It's More Than Just Sex - this will be fun girls night out event, so gather your girl and join us!
